Dr. Babkin is the author of one of the first universal and enumerative methods of data compression. He has developed a method that allows essential simplification of the implementation of DCT ( discrete cosine transform ) which is the base of JPEG image compression standard.
Profs. Kolesnik, Trofimov and Kudryashov are well known for their research in coding modulation and convolutional codes.
Profs. Taubin and Bocharova have introduced new convolutional codes and new decoding algorithms for channels with intersymbol interference.
Prof. Kovalev has developed video compression algorithms which allow very simple hardware implementation.
Dr. Davydov has introduced very effective codes which correct errors in memory.
President of GT Technology, Dr. Grigory Tenengolts is the author of 45 papers, including 13 patents, in the field of error correction and its applications. He is one of the leading experts in applications of error correcting codes.
